About Me
I’m Kevin Coté, a Senior UI/UX Designer focused on simplifying complex systems for real users and delivering measurable impact. I work with cross-functional teams to handle workflows, reduce friction, and drive outcomes with design. I am a design professional with 15 years of experience, spending the last 7 focused on product design. I attended Taylor University, where I majored in Graphic Design and began my career through an internship with a healthcare IT startup.
As my career evolved, I transitioned into product design, seeing it as a natural next step. It was there that I discovered a deep passion for designing the best experience for even the smallest—or most mundane—interactions. As I matured along this path, I was heavily influenced by UX for Lean Startups, adopting many of the design methods and philosophies outlined in the book to guide my approach.
I grew up in Connecticut and continue to call it home, having spent most of my life in New England. I enjoy the outdoors and maintain a love–hate relationship with winter. Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and two kids—and, when my wife isn’t looking, I continue to invest in my vintage Apple collection.

As Senior UI/UX Designer, I owned the end-to-end application design and provided UX leadership for our analytics dashboards. I led user research initiatives and embedded user feedback early and throughout the design process to validate solutions prior to development. In partnership with the UI Lead, I co-created and evolved a scalable design system that matured over time and improved consistency across the product.

I served as the sole UI/UX designer for multiple portfolio company products, leading product and marketing design from concept through delivery. I partnered with a lean team to conduct research, define requirements, and support QA, ensuring design intent carried through implementation. I worked directly with clients to uncover challenges, pitch solutions, and implement foundational design systems that enabled faster, more consistent product development.

Produced a variety of marketing design assets for corporate initiatives and healthcare clients, spanning print and digital such as trade show collateral, booth design, brochures, ebooks, web ads, emails, landing pages, and websites. Executed email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including HTML email development and automation configuration.
